- Patent information you submit (title, patent number, technology sector, jurisdiction, asking price, description);
- Company name and role (for corporate buyers);
- Password (stored as a secure hash — we cannot view it).
We also collect information automatically when you use the platform:
- IP address and browser/device information, captured at the time you accept our Terms of Service and Anti-Circumvention Policy (for legal record-keeping);
- Log data and cookies necessary for authentication and platform function.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account;
- To review and publish your patent listing (inventors) or verify your account (buyers);
- To facilitate introductions between inventors and buyers, subject to mutual NDA;
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, listing status, correspondence);
- To maintain a legally-required record of your acceptance of our Terms of Service and Anti-Circumvention Policy;
- To process payments (via Stripe) when applicable;
- To comply with applicable laws.
4. Information We Share
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- With approved buyers: your identity and patent details are shared only after a mutual NDA is in place. Listings are presented anonymously until that stage.
- With service providers: we use Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (transactional email), Stripe (payment processing), and Railway (hosting). Each processes data only as necessary to provide their service.
- As required by law: we may disclose information to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and listing data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to meet legal obligations. Consent records (IP address, user agent, terms version, timestamp) are retained for a minimum of seven years as an evidentiary record of your agreement to our Terms.6. Your Rights
